This summer we made a cross country move from Dall

This summer we made a cross country move from Dallas to Atlanta (more on that later). I’m in awe by the trees and changing seasons on this side of the world.

Walking trails, art festivals and art walks are some of my favorite fall activities, next to playing tennis. I’m finding that in Georgia there is so much to explore.

If you’re in Atlanta, or know the area, I’d love suggestions on must-do Atlanta events.

Takes me a while and a lot of research to build magic systems, story mythology, and deep characters, but the world and characters are coming along.

My favorite fall drink while reading?
Morning coffee-black with a tsp of stevia.

Then I switch to ginger tea in the afternoon, especially when temps drop into the 50s.

Mugs make it taste magical. I have several I love, but these two are always in the rotation. Thx @donnakwallace for the @sleepymonkcoffee and @erinturek for the @dogwoodbooksofrome treasures.

I had the privilege and honor of reading Hybrid, the sequel to @candace_kade_author YA Sci-Fi Enhanced, and it is a serious thrill ride!

If you love action, suspense, unique futuristic world building and a touch of romance, put this in your TBR. You won’t regret it. Here’s my full endorsement:

Heard these words by @andrewpetersonmusic at a creativity workshop yesterday.

As an artist, I search for the purpose and meaning in my craft and this phrase reminds me why it’s important to create. To craft worlds and stories bigger than ourselves and share them with hearts needing to hear. To collaborate with the idea, the beast caught behind a door you can’t open—or wrestle—alone.
And when you roll up your sleeves and say “let’s do this,” the fight begins. But we keep creating, striving to improve, because art matters.

This quote reminds me why.

I love the hope and wonder new journals bring. New stores rise, on blank pages and this one fits my new story world in a strange way.

(As usual, I don’t have any pictures to share of the event. I’m usually too in the moment to remember) but thank you @arthousedallas as always, it was awesome, filling, and a sweet homecoming. 💕
